I have just purchased a new piece of equipment for Honeyberdy Productions: a twin-head halogen work light which, as I had expected, turns out to be very bright. I also bought 9 MiniDV tapes, but who cares. Below are pictures of the unboxing (I didn't bother filming it. Who would watch that, anyways.).
At least these lights do their job. They effectively light an entire room without the help of any other lights, as demonstrated in the photo below.
Another way I might use these besides obvious lighting is to simulate daylight through blinds in windows, as successfully demonstrated in the photos below.
So I think that these are a great value for what they do, usually sold for under $50 as opposed to professional lighting kits that cost hundreds of dollars. Of course, I still have to get lighting gels, create a diffuser and possibly modify the lights themselves. But at this moment, these lights will greatly improve Honeyberdy Productions' videos.
